Is there any age limit for applying to the SSC MTS Exam 2024?
Below we have outlined the SSC MTS age limit:
- For MTS: Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years old.
- For Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, as well as some MTS positions: Candidates must be between 18 to 27 years old.

Candidates must have passed the 10th standard to be eligible for SSC MTS Exam 2024.
What is the exam pattern for the SSC MTS Exam 2024?
The following is the exam pattern for the SSC MTS Exam 2024:
- The Computer Based Examination will be held in two sessions, Session I and Session II, on the same day, and participation in both sessions is compulsory.
- Session I will last for 45 minutes. After the allotted time, Session I will close automatically. Similarly, Session II will also be timed for 45 minutes.
- The Computer Based Examination will feature Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions.
- Session I will not include negative marking. However, Session II will deduct one mark for each incorrect answer.
What happens if I don't pass the PET/PST for the Havaldar post?
Failing the PET/PST will disqualify you from being considered for the Havaldar position in SSC MTS.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts a competitive examination to recruit Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, a General Central Service Group 'C' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts, for various Ministries, Departments, and Offices of the Government of India, along with different Constitutional Bodies, Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals across States and Union Territories. Additionally, the exam also recruits for the post of Havaldar, a Group 'C' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial position, under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), both functioning under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.
