A river is a natural flowing stream of water that is essential to humans in many ways. They provide a source of drinking water, for obtaining food, to fertilize lands and habitat to wildlife.

From where ganges originates?

It originates in the western Himalayas in India and drains into the Sunderbans delta in the Bay of Bengal. The Ganges has been declared India’s National River. 

Which lake is India’s largest inland salt?

Sambhar Lake, Rajasthan is India’s largest inland salt lake. It is known that the Sambhar Lake is a part of the kingdom of the demon king Brishparva.

What is Waterfalls also called?

Waterfalls are also called cascades. It is defined as an area where water flows over a steep drop in the course of a stream or river.
