Gandhi arrived in Durban in 1893 to work as a lawyer. He became a political leader of the Indian Community there and was seen as a leader of masses.

He was an American lawyer and statesman and served as 16th president from 1861 until his assassination in 1865. He led the nation through American Civil war and abolished slavery and modernizing Indian Economy.

<h2 id="content-id-1699600406394-2">Today in 1930 the First Round Table Conference was held in London</h2>

It was inaugurated by His Majesty George V in the Royal Gallery House of Lords at London and chaired by the Prime Minister. Round Table Conferences were a series of peace conferences organised by British Government and Indian Political personalities to discuss constitutional reforms and reform India.
