	<li>In Section l there are two modules. Module l contains the subject - Mathematical Abilities and Module ll contains – Reasoning and General Intelligence. Total marks for this are 90 each. The duration given for section 1 is 1 hour.</li>
	<li>In Section ll, Module l has English language and comprehension and in Module 2 there is General awareness. Total marks for this section are 135 for module l and 75 for module ll. The duration for the paper is 1 hour.</li>

<h2 id="content-id-96133-5"><strong>SSC CGL Marking Scheme 2024</strong></h2>

<p>As you know that there are two Tiers for this SSC CGL Exam 2024, let us look at how the marking system for the examination works. The SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2024 includes 100 questions in the Tier 1. Paper 1 comprises of 150 questions along with a data entry task, while Paper 2 (Statistics) consists of 100 questions.</p>

<p>In Tier l, for each wrong answer there will be a deduction of 0.5 marks. When you appear for tier 2 remember that in paper 1 each wrong answer will cost you 1 mark, while in papers 2 and 3 there will be a deduction of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. If you don't attempt the question, no marks will be deducted. Check your answers twice so that you don't make any mistakes and lose your marks. It is a statistical method designed to adjust for any variations in the difficulty levels of question papers across different shifts of the same examination. Given that different shifts may present varying levels of question complexity, a direct comparison of scores may not be fair. Thus, normalization addresses this issue by equalizing the scores, ensuring a more equitable assessment of candidates.</p>
