<p>As we are aware the SSC JHT exam consists of two papers, out of which Paper 1 is a multiple-choice Computer-Based Test. Whereas, Paper 2 is a Descriptive one. Thus, Paper 1 consists of 100 questions for 1 mark each. However, for every wrong answer, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks i.e., 1 mark for 4 errors. On the other hand, Paper 2 has no such negative marking.</p>

<h2><strong>SSC JHT Marks Normalization 2023</strong></h2>

<p>What do you understand by Normalization?&nbsp;It&nbsp;is a statistical method that accounts for any disparities in the difficulty levels of question papers across multiple shifts of the same exam. Since different shifts can have varying levels of complexity in their questions, direct score comparison might not be equitable. Thus, normalization addresses this issue by equalizing the scores, enabling a more just evaluation of candidates. Moreover, marks scored by candidates in Computer-Based Examination will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through&nbsp;<a href="https://study.kdcampus.live/admin/assets/uploads/ckeditor/Normalization_Formula_for_SSC_07.02.2019.pdf">Notice No.1-1/2018-P&amp;P-I dated 07-02-2019</a>&nbsp;and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.</p>
