SBI PO Marking Scheme 2023
As we are already aware, the SBI PO examination consists of three phases. Further, let us discuss the marking scheme for each of these phases:
Phase 1
First, the preliminary examination consists of 100 objective-type questions of one mark each (a total of 100 marks). Moreover, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.
Phase 2
Secondly, the main examination comprises two tests: the objective test and the descriptive paper. Let us now understand the Phase 2 marking scheme in detail.
- The objective test consists of four sections with a total of 200 marks.
- This objective test carries a negative marking of 25% for every incorrect answer.
- In addition to this, the descriptive paper comprises two questions for a total of 50 marks.
- Therefore, the main examination carries a total of 250 marks.
Phase 3
Lastly, Phase 3 comprises a psychometric test followed by group activities and an interview.
- The psychometric test is just an evaluation of your personality, which the interview panel can use to form a perspective when you are interviewed.
- Further, the group exercise carries 20 marks, whereas the interview carries 30 marks.

SBI PO 2023 Marks Normalization

Normalization is the statistical method used to bring the marks to an equal level, keeping in mind the difference in the difficulty level of various shifts of the exam.
