3 × cube root of M = square root of M.

Quantity I: T2 - RT + 560 = 0; p and q are roots of the equation. The value of R = 4Q + 2. Find the value of 3p.

Quantity II: Value of M + B.

Quantity III: Value of (M + 3) – highest root of the given equation.

<p>Sum = 5 + 3B = Q; Product = 5 × 3B = 15B = 45 → B = 3</p>

<p>So Q = 5 + 9 = 14</p>

<p>⇒ 3 × cube root of M = square root of M</p>

<p>Let cube root of M = k → M = k<sup>3</sup></p>

<p>⇒ 3k = k<sup>(3/2)</sup> → divide by k → 3 = k<sup>(1/2)</sup> → k = 9 → M = 9<sup>3</sup> = 729</p>

<p>(Quantity I):- T<sup>2</sup> - RT + 560 = 0</p>

<p>R = 4Q + 2 = 4(14) + 2 = 58</p>

<p>Roots p and q = (58 ± √(58<sup>2</sup> - 4 × 560)) / 2 = (58 ± √1124) / 2 = (58 ± 2√281) / 2</p>

<p>p = 29 + √281</p>

<p>3p = 87 + 3√281 ≈ 137.3</p>

<p>(Quantity II):- M + B = 729 + 3 = 732</p>

<p>(Quantity III): Highest root of first equation = 3B = 9</p>

<p>⇒ (M + 3) – highest root = (729 + 3) – 9 = 723</p>

<p>Hence</p>

<p><strong>Quantity I</strong> = 87 + 3√281 ≈ 137.3; <strong>Quantity II </strong>= 732 and <strong>Quantity III</strong> = 723</p>
