The RBI’s survey also collected demographic insights. Households across different age groups and employment categories all reported a moderation in their inflation expectations. Even groups traditionally more sensitive to price changes, such as homemakers and retired persons, indicated a lower expectation of price rises. This broadâ&#128;&#145;based decline in inflation expectations reflects not only shifting economic conditions but also the possibility that recent improvements in supply conditions and policy measures are beginning to show effects in the everyday experiences of people.
