<p>Each term increases by consecutive odd numbers: </p>

<p>60 - 45 = 15</p>

<p>45 - 13 = 32</p>

<p>32 - 11 = 21</p>

<p><strong>21 - 9 = 12</strong></p>

<p><strong>12 - 7 = 5</strong></p>

<p>Hence, A = 5, and B = 12</p>

<p>Series II: 23, 30, 39, C, D, 78</p>

<p>Each term increases by consecutive odd numbers: </p>

<p>23 + 7 = 30</p>

<p>30 + 9= 39</p>

<p><strong>39 + 11 = 50</strong></p>

<p>The sum of the 2nd term of series (I) and the 2nd term of series (III) = 34</p>

<p>Now the third series will be:</p>

<p>22 + 9 = 31</p>

<p>31+ 11 = 42</p>
