<p>Original net water filled in one cycle = 1500 litres</p>

<p>After interchanging patterns:</p>

<p>Pipe C = 18 × 15 = 270 litres</p>

<p>Pipe F = 36 × 20 = 720 litres</p>

<p>Net increase per cycle = (720 + 270) − (540 + 360) = 90 litres</p>

<p>Net water in first 2 cycles = 2 × (1500 + 90) = 2 × 1590 = 3180 litres</p>

<p>Net water in next 2 cycles = 2 × 1500 = 3000 litres</p>

<p>Total water after 4 cycles = 3180 + 3000 = 6180 litres</p>

<p>Water still required = 7200 – 6180 = 1020 litres</p>
