<p>And average = 71.47 = (2a + 122.5) ÷ 2</p>

<p>So now checking by option first we will check for 20 terms</p>

<p>Sum of 1<sup>st</sup> 20 terms of this A.P = 10 × (20.44 + 47.5) = 679.4</p>

<p>So, average = 679.4 ÷ 20 = 33.97</p>

<p>So, none of the option with 20 matches</p>

<p>Similarly we can check for 22</p>

<p>Sum of 1<sup>st</sup> 22 terms = 11 × (20.44 + 21 × 2.5) = 11 × 72.94</p>

<p>Average = 11 × 72.94 ÷ 22 = 36.47</p>

<p>So option 3 is the correct option.</p>
