<p>7200 = 5000(1 + R/100)<sup>8</sup></p>

<p>⇒ (1 + R/100)<sup>8 </sup>= 36/25</p>

<p>⇒ (1 + R/100)<sup>4 </sup>= 6/5………………..(1)</p>

<p>Now,</p>

<p>P = Rs. 6500, t = 4 years and Rate = R</p>

<p>So,</p>

<p>Amount =  P(1 + R/100)<sup>t</sup></p>

<p>⇒ 6550(1 + R/100)<sup>4</sup> = 6550 × 6/5 = 7860</p>

<p>Hence,</p>

<p>Interest = 7860 - 6550 = 1310</p>
