The SSC CGL Notification 2024 is expected to release on 11th June 2024 as per the SSC Exam Calendar 2024-25.
What is the syllabus for SSC CGL 2024?
Tier 1 of the SSC CGL 2024 encompasses 4 subjects:
- General Intelligence and Reasoning
- General Awareness
- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
The Tier II of the examination consists of three papers covering the following subjects:
- Paper I: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Module and Data Entry Speed Test Module.
- Paper II: Statistics
- Paper III: General Studies (Finance and Economics)
Is there any negative marking in the SSC CGL 2024?
The negative marking scheme for the exam is as follows:
- In Tier I of the exam, there will be a penalty of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.
- In Tier II of the exam, there will be a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I. Moreover, for Paper II and Paper III, there will be a penalty of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer.
What is the eligible age limit to apply for SSC CGL 2024?
The eligible age limit for SSC CGL 2024 ranges from 18 to 32 years.
What is the required eligible educational qualification for SSC CGL 2024?
Following is the required educational qualification for SSC CGL:
- For the post of Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
- For the post of Junior Statistical Officer- A candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum of 60% marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level. Alternatively, a Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at the degree level is also acceptable.
- For the post of Statistical Investigator Grade II- A candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute.
- For all the other posts- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
