The highest post in the SSC CGL is of the Assistant Audit Officer or Assistant Accounts Officer which falls under Group B of the Gazetted post.

What subjects are there in SSC CGL Tier 1?

The four subjects in Tier 1 are:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English Comprehension

What subjects are there in SSC CGL Tier 2?

Tier 2 includes three papers:

  • Paper I: Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Module, and Data Entry Speed Test Module.
  • Paper II: Statistics

Is there any negative marking in the SSC CGL examination?

For tier 1, there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for every incorrect answer. Moreover, for Tier 2, there is a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect answer in Section-I, Section-II, and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I. For Paper II and Paper III of Tier 2, there is a penalty of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
