<p>India's first Gaushala with modern, self-sufficient amenities and a state-of-the-art Compressed Bio Gas Plant(CBG), namely “Adarsh Gaushala” was recently launched in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. It was launched under the Prime Minister's vision for a “Waste to Wealth” initiative. The Gaushala is operated by the Municipal Corporation of Gwalior and it hosts over 10 thousand cattle. It is the first plant in Madhya Pradesh where Biogas will be prepared using Cattle dung and Garbage.</p>

<p>The Ministry of Education along with the Ministry of Defence under the Government of India recently launched Project Veer Gatha 4.0. More than 1.76 crore school students from 36 states and UTs participated in the event marking it one of the largest events. The Project was initiated in 2021 to disseminate tales of valour, selfless sacrifice, and life stories of brave hearts among students. </p>

<h2 id="content-id-1733140376784-2"><strong>First Indigenous Antibiotic Nafithromycin</strong></h2>

<p>Union Minister Shri Jitendra Singh recently launched India's first indigenously developed Antibiotic namely “Nafithromycin” for resistant infections. The antibiotic is a groundbreaking step for India's biotechnology sector and it has been developed with the support of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council(BIRAC). The antibiotic has been brought under the Trade name “Miqnaf” and the innovation is designed to treat Community-Acquired Bacterial Pneumonia(CABP).</p>

<p>Scientists for the first time have directly measured the hearing range of Minke Whales. Minke Whales classified as Common Minke Whales and Antarctic Minke Whales are members of the Baleen or Great Whale family. The measurements proved that the species can detect high-frequency sounds as high as 90 kilohertz (kHz). They are widely distributed across Tropical, Temperate and Polar regions. The IUCN status of Common Minke Whales is Least Concern.</p>

<h2 id="content-id-1733140376784-4"><strong>Trypanosoma Cruzi can survive in dead kissing bugs</strong></h2>

<p>A recent study conducted by Texas A&M researchers has recently proved that the parasite that causes Chagas disease namely Trypanosoma Cruzi can survive in dead kissing bugs “Triatominae” even within insecticide-treated dog kennels. Chagas disease is an infectious disease caused by the protozoan parasite and is common in South America, Central America and Mexico. It is caused by the bug Trypanosoma Cruzi, also known as the Kissing Bug.</p>

<h2 id="content-id-1733140376784-5"><strong>Eastern Imperial Eagle spotted in Kerala</strong></h2>

<p>A rare Eastern Imperial Eagle, member of the family Accipitridae was recently spotted from the kole fields in Kerala. It is scientifically known as Aquila Heliaca and it is found in Southeastern Europe and through West and Central Asia. It is a migratory bird and winters in Northeastern Africa, Middle East and South and East Asia. The length of the Eagle ranges from 68 to 90 cm and it has a pale golden crown and nape. </p>

<p>The Indian Army in collaboration with White Globe NGO and Lake Conservation and Management Authority(LCMA) organised the famous Chinar Boat Race 2024 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Dal Lake. The race aims to highlight athleticism and competitive spirit along with the importance of protecting Kashmir's water bodies. Dal Lake is the Jewel in the Crown of Kashmir and is the second largest Lake in J&K. The Lake is surrounded by the Pir Panjal Mountains.</p>

Developed and patented by the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), Nano Urea is a groundbreaking, nanotechnology-based agricultural input that supplies nitrogen to plants. Containing 4% total nitrogen, it is highly efficient in nutrient absorption, making it a revolutionary solution for improving plant growth and reducing nitrogen losses. This innovative product offers a more effective way of providing essential nutrients to crops compared to traditional urea.</p>

<p>The 11th edition of ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting-Plus(ADMM-Plus) was recently held in Vientiane, Laos. The Indian Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh engaged in a series of high-level discussions with the US, Japan and the Philippines Defence Minister. The major objective behind the establishment of the ASEAN Defence Ministers Meeting-Plus(ADMM-Plus) was to strengthen security and defence cooperation for Peace, Stability and development in the region. The inaugural edition was held on 12 October 2010 in Hanoi, Vietnam.</p>
