<p>Uttarakhand becomes first Indian State to launch Gross environment Product Index. The index is a measure of ecological development caused by Human interventions. The index comprises 4 constituents of environment namely Air and Water quality, area of organic soil, number of trees planted. The index will help in assessing the impact of anthropological pressure on the environment.</p>

<p>The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) from India along with CSIRO, Australia calls for startups and MSMEs in climate smart agritech under the RISE ACCELERATOR initiative. RISE ACCELERATOR stands for Rapid Innovation and Start up Expansion. The major aim of the program is to address challenges faced due to environment and climate change issues. The initiative was launched in 2023.</p>

<p>The first of its kind paradrop exercise of Aarogya Maitri Health Cube was recently conducted by Indian Army and Indian Air Force at 15000 feet elevation. Aarogya Maitri Health Cube is an indigenously developed World's first Portable Hospital designed and developed under Project BHISHM (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri). The cube contains medical equipment and supplies, an operation theatre, a Mini ICU, a X-ray machine etc </p>

<p>Researchers have recently mapped out a detailed atlas of all the cells involved in the regrowth of Spinal cord by Zebrafish. The stem cells capable of forming new neurons are typically central to regeneration. The Zebrafish is native to South Asia's Indo-Gangetic plains. It is a small freshwater fish and its IUCN status is Least Concern.</p>

<h2 id="content-id-1725700025486-4"><strong>New mechanism for propagation of Flavivirus</strong></h2>

<p>A study conducted by researchers led by Professor Toru Okamato at Juntendo University has identified a protein named Importing-7 (IPO7) as a carrier that transports Flavivirus core protein through the nuclear membrane and into the nucleus. Flavivirus belongs to the family Flaviviridae and includes Japanese Encephalitis Virus, Dengue Virus, Zika Virus, West Nile Virus and tick borne encephalitis. </p>

<p>The Sturgeon Moon also known as the Super Blue Moon appeared on August 19, 2024. The phenomenon of the rare Super Blue Moon takes place when the full moon is at the closest point to Earth in its Orbit. Super Blue Moons are quite rare and occur roughly between 10-20 years.</p>
