NABARD Grade A Exam Pattern 2023
It is crucial to know the exam pattern as it helps a student to understand the structure and format of the exam. Thus helping the student to plan their strategy accordingly. Hence, let's dive into the NABARD Grade A exam pattern. The recruitment process of Grade A officers includes three stages- (I) Preliminary Exam, (ii) Mains Exam and (iii) interview. Moreover, the tests included in the Prelims exam are common for both the posts i.e. Generalists and Specialists. However, the tests included in the Mains exam vary for both posts.
- The Mains exam is further distributed into two papers- I & II. The first paper will be for General English whereas the second one will be for Eco & Soc. Issues, Agriculture & Rural Development and stream specific respectively.
- Talking about the medium of the exams, the questions asked in the tests will be bilingual in nature, except for the English Language test which will be exclusively in English.
- Moreover, the Preliminary exam will span a duration of 120 minutes and will encompass a total of 200 marks. However, the Mains exam will last for 210 minutes and will possess 200 marks. Thereafter, the interview round will carry 50 marks.
- Lastly, the Mains exam will include both objective and descriptive type questions.

NABARD Grade A Marking Scheme 2023
- As already discussed in the previous sections, the NABARD Grade A Prelims exam will encompass 8 tests. Moreover and most importantly, you will qualify for the Mains exam only if you are shortlisted in the merit section of the Prelims exam. This merit section includes the following tests- General Awareness, Eco & Soc. Issues, Agriculture & Rural Development.
- Remember, that while some questions in the Mains exam will be worth 2 marks, others will be valued at 1 mark each.
- There will be a penalty for wrong answers in both Prelims and Mains. To elaborate every question answered incorrectly will lead to a deduction of 1/4th mark assigned to that question.

On 2nd September 2023, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) uncovered the NABARD Grade A official notification.
