<p>The reimposition of the Protected Area Regime (PAR) also known as Protected Area Permit (PAP) was recently announced by the Manipur Government after 13 years. The PAR is a set of regulations under the Foreigners (Protected Areas) Order, 1958 aimed at controlling the entry of foreign nationals into strategically sensitive areas in India. The sensitive zones are designated areas in proximity to International borders, ethnic tensions or political instability.</p>

<p>India recently achieved a historic milestone with gross Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows crossing USD 1 Trillion mark since 2000. FDI in India is governed by Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999 and has two types of entry routes namely Automatic route and Government Route. The FDI inflow is administered by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). </p>

<p>A giant frog species namely Calyptocephalella Gayi also known as Living Fossil Frog is facing threat from Climate change and human intervention damage it's habitat. The frog species also known as Helmeted Water Toad is native to Chile and is one of the largest frogs in the world. Its IUCN Conservation status is Vulnerable. </p>

<p>A new class of celestial objects known as Dark Comets is being closely studied by NASA Scientists. It is a class of comet that lacks glowing tails and resembles asteroids. They follow elongated, elliptical paths and spin quite rapidly, dispersing escaping gas and dust in all directions. They were first discovered in 2016.</p>

<p>Union Minister for Education Shri Dharmendra Pradhan recently addressed the 20th Foundation Day of National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions. It is a quasi judicial body established by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI) Act 2004. It has been endowed with powers of a civil court and it aims to safeguard the educational rights of the minorities enshrined in Article 30(1) of the Constitution of India. </p>

<p>A guiness world record was set by National Institute of Siddha (NIS) for providing Mass Varman Therapy. Varman Therapy is a non-invasive simple therapy with a unique and traditional healing modality within the Siddha system of medicine. It is renowned for its ability to provide rapid relief for musculoskeletal pain, injuries and neurological disorders. The Siddha System originated in South India and is one of the oldest systems of medicines in India.</p>

<h2 id="content-id-1737635896249-6"><strong>JPC to be setup for One Nation One Election Bills</strong></h2>

<p>A Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) will be formed to review the Constitution 129th Amendment Bill also known as One Nation, One Election Bills. Law Minister Arjun Meghwal will move a motion in Parliament for the bills on the One Nation One Election proposal to be referred to a joint committee. The committee will comprise 31 members, 21 members from Lok Sabha and 10 members from Rajya Sabha. JPC is an ad-hoc body set up by Parliament for a special purpose.</p>

<h2 id="content-id-1737635896249-7"><strong>Wroughton’s Free Tailed Bat spotted at Yamuna Biodiversity Park</strong></h2>

<p>A highly rare species of Molossus Bat namely Wroughton’s Free Tailed Bat was recently spotted at the Delhi Development Authority (DDA)’s Yamuna Biodiversity Park. It is characterised by its large size, huge ears and bicoloured velvet fur. The species is primarily found in Western Ghats and it is placed under Schedule 1 of Wildlife Protection Act 1971. The species regulate insect populations and assist in plant pollination. </p>

<p>Three million Paphia Malabarica seeds also known as Short neck Clam were recently released into the Ashtamudi Lake. These seeds are produced at the Vizhinjam Regional Centre of the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI). Short neck Clam is the major fishery resource of the brackishwater Ashtamudi Lake in Kerala and is India's first Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified Fisheries.</p>

The championship is being held at Gopal Maidan, Jamshedpur. Olympic Champions B.Dhiraj and Deepika Kumari emerged champions in recurve men and women categories. </p>
