<p>On August 24, 2025, ISRO successfully conducted the first Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-01) for the Gaganyaan program at Sriharikota. The test validated the parachute-based deceleration system of the Crew Module in a typical mission scenario. Using a Chinook helicopter, a simulated Crew Module (~4.8 tons) was dropped from 3 km, deploying ten parachutes in sequence to reduce terminal velocity to 8 m/s for safe splashdown. The module was recovered by INS Anvesha. The test involved ISRO, DRDO, Indian Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, ensuring mission readiness.</p>
