<p>On August 23, 2025, Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu announced a major welfare scheme for municipal staff during the Swachh Andhra–Swarna Andhra campaign in Kakinada district. The scheme provides a ₹1 crore life insurance cover for regular municipal employees and ₹20 lakh cover for outsourced staff in case of accidental death or permanent disability. Additionally, their children will receive education support up to ₹8 lakh. The initiative aims to ensure financial security and strengthen worker–government trust.</p>
