<p>The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting recently announced the winners of the 70th National Film Award. South Indian Actor Rishabh Shetty won the best actor award for the movie Kantara. The National Film Awards were established in 1954 aimed at encouraging the production of films with technical excellence, social relevance etc. </p>

<p>Russia's largest and most active volcano, Shiveluch Volcano erupted due to a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. The Volcano is located in Russia's Easternmost Peninsula namely Kamchatka Peninsula. The Volcano has erupted over 60 times in the last 10,000 years. The Kamchatka Peninsula is located between the Sea of Okhotsk, Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea.</p>

<p>Hakki Pikki Tribe, a major tribal community in Karnataka have emerged as successful entrepreneurs in the hair oil industry. The name of the hair oil is Neelambari Hair oil or Original Adivasi Hair Oil. Hakki Pikki Tribe is recognised as a scheduled tribe in India and are traditionally semi nomadic tribe with occupations such as bird catchers and hunters. They are listed as an endangered tribe by UNESCO.</p>

<p>The Authoritative Holding Sealed Particulars (AHSP) of “Nipun” munition was recently handed over by the Defence Research and Development Authority (DRDO) to the Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA). NIPUN is a soft target munition developed by Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE). </p>

<h2 id="content-id-1725324559280-4"><strong>Coal Index declined 3.48 percent </strong></h2>

<p>A significant decline of 3.48 percent was recorded in the National Coal Index (NCI) in June 2024 compared to June 2023. The decline showcased the sufficient availability of coal at cheaper prices in the domestic market. The Coal Index reflects change in price level of coal in a year relative to fixed base year and combines the process of coal from all the sales channels- Notified Prices, Auction Prices and Import Prices.</p>

<p>The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Development Authority (APEDA) exported India's first ready to drink fig juice to Poland. The Fig juice is made up of GI tagged Purandar figs. Purandar Figs are India's finest figs cultivated in villages of Purandar Taluka in Pune district, Maharashtra. APEDA was established under APEDA act 1985 under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.</p>

<p>The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Green Tug Transition Program (GTTP) was recently released by Union Minister of Port Shipping and Waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal. GTTP is a key initiative under Panchakarma Sankalp launched on May 22, 2023 with the aim to phase out conventional fuel based harbour tugs operating in Major Indian ports.</p>

<p>Researchers from Kerala have recently discovered a rare species of Owlfly namely Glyptobasis Dentifera from Kerala. The species comes under the Order Neuroptera. The species has been discovered after 75 years from Pudunagaram in Palakkad District. They can be easily distinguished by their long distinct antennae.</p>
