<p>In FY 2023-24, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) reported a 48 percent increase in total income, reaching Rs. 2,075 crore, primarily driven by higher fee income of Rs. 1,851.5 crore. Investment income also rose to Rs. 192.41 crore. SEBI's total expenditure increased to Rs. 1,006 crore, with higher establishment and administrative costs. The regulator’s funds, including the General Fund, Investor Protection & Education Fund (IPEF), and Disgorgement Fund, recorded strong closing balances, reflecting robust financial health.</p>
