<p>According to the Brand Finance Insurance 100 (2025) report, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is the third strongest insurance brand globally, with a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 88 out of 100. LIC also holds the 12th position in brand value worldwide. SBI Life is the other Indian insurer in the top 100, ranked 76th. Regarding financial performance, LIC’s net profit rose by 17 percent YoY to Rs. 11,056.47 crore for the December quarter.</p>

<p>Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced the renaming of Bangalore City University to Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru University in honor of the late former Prime Minister. The university will incorporate Government Arts College and Government RC College as constituent colleges.
