Nationality
- You can apply for the exam if you are a citizen of India.
- You will be eligible, if you are subject of Nepal.
- You will be eligible, if you are subject of Bhutan.
- If you are a refugee from Tibet who has permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962, then you can apply.
- If you are of Indian origin and have migrated from countries such as Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, and East African countries like Uganda and Vietnam with the intention of permanent settlement in India, you are eligible.
Remember, if you belong to last four pointers, you are required to provide a valid eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India to the recruiting body. Age Limit

Indian Military Academy: If you are a candidate applying for IMA, you should be unmarried and must have been born within 2nd January 2000 to 1st January 2005.

Indian Naval Academy: You must be an unmarried male candidate to be eligible to apply for INA.

Air Force Academy : Candidates like yourself applying for AFA should fall within the age range of 20 to 24 years as on 1st July, 2024. However, if you are holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India), you will have an extended upper age limit of up to 26 years.

Officer's Training Academy - SSC Course for Men: To be eligible for the OTA course (SSC Men), you must be unmarried and must have been born between 2nd January 1999 and 1st January 2005.

Officer's Training Academy - SSC Women Non-Technical Course: You must either be an unmarried women, issue less widows who have not remarried, or issue less divorcees who has not been remarried are eligible to apply for this course. Moreover, you must have been born between 2nd January 1999 and 1st January 2005.

For Indian Military Academy (as on 1st July, 2024) and Officer's Training Academy (as on 1st October, 2024): You should hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or its equivalent.

For Indian Naval Academy (as on 1st July, 2024): You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

For Air Force Academy (as on 13th May, 2024): You should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University. Alternatively, you can also hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Additionally,you should have studied Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

Physical Qualification

Candidates with permanent tattoos located on the inner side of the elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of the palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand will be eligible. Tattoos on any other part of the body will result in disqualification.

Male candidates should have a minimum height of 157.5 cm (157 cm for the Navy and 162.5 cm for the Air Force), while female candidates should have a minimum height of 152 cm to be eligible for the CDS 2 examination.

Malformation or impairment of bone and joint functions will lead to candidate disqualification.

A history of previous mental breakdowns will also result in disqualification.

Candidates must be medically capable of undergoing training and performing military duties in the Armed Forces. Any deformities or abnormalities in the body will render the candidate ineligible.
