Nationality:
To be eligible for the IBPS SO Exam 2023, a candidate must fall under one of the following categories:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan
One very important point to take into consideration is that the latter two must fulfill all the eligibility requirements under the eligibility certificate issued by the government of India. Candidates whose certification of eligibility is mandatory can take the exam without the certification. However, the offer of appointment will be given to them only when the certificate of eligibility is issued to them by the Government of India.
Age Limit:
The age criteria for the IBPS SO Exam 2023 are as follows:
The minimum age required is 20 years. The maximum age required is 30 years. Thus, a candidate must have been born not earlier than November 2, 1993, and not later than 01.08.2003 (both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualification:

Officer (Scale-I): Candidates should have an engineering or technology degree in Computer Science/Applications, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication, or Electronics & Instrumentation; or aspirants having a PG degree in the following fields are also eligible; or a graduate who has passed DOEACC ‘B’ level can also apply for IBPS SO 2023.
- Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): The candidate requires a 4-year degree (graduation) in agriculture, Horticulture/Animal Husbandry/ Veterinary Science/ Dairy Science/ Fishery Science/ Pisciculture/ Agri. Marketing & Cooperation/ Co-operation & Banking/ Agro-Forestry/Forestry/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Food Science/ Agriculture Business Management/ Food Technology/ Dairy Technology/ Agricultural Engineering/ Sericulture
- Rajbhasha Adhikari : A candidate must have a postgraduate degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level or in Sanskrit with English as a subject at the degree level.
- Law Officer (Scale I): A Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.
- HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I): A graduation degree and two years of full-time postgraduate degree or two years of full-time postgraduate diploma in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HR / HRD/ Social Work / Labour Law.
- Marketing Officer (Scale I): A graduation degree and Two Years Full time MMS (Marketing)/ Two Years Full time MBA (Marketing)/ two years of full-time PGDBA / PGDBM/ PGPM/ PGDM with a specialization in marketing.

Also, the total marks allotted for the interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates).
